Public Relations:
The citizens,
visitors, and employees of the Village of Bolingbrook are the reason we are here
to protect and serve. When we have any public announcements, we will
address them on this page. Thank you for taking the time to visit the
Bolingbrook Fire Fighters Local 3005 web site!
The Bolingbrook Fire
Fighters Association has participated in many community projects throughout
its history. A few of the more recent projects include a family of 9, who
had fallen on financial hard times. They had asked the Village of
Bolingbrook for assistance in doing some remodeling and repairs to their
home to make it safe and more child friendly. Several Local 3005 members
answered the call and helped by donating time and labor to this family in
their time of need.
In a
more recent event, a family requested help in building a wheelchair ramp so
a family member could easily access their new home. Once again, several
Local 3005 members answered the call, and donated time and labor to build a
ramp for the disabled resident.

A yearly
scholarship award was created, and funded by a portion of the proceeds from
our annual golf outing. Each year, 2 members of the Bolingbrook High School
are awarded a $1000 scholarship to be used at their choice of college. The
Bolingbrook Fire Fighters Association has awarded more than $10,000 in the
past few years.
Members
of Local 3005 have donated their time to participate in charitable events
with multiple organizations throughout the years. In addition to the yearly
Boot Drive for MDA, Local 3005 Brothers and Sisters have donated their time
to the charitable likes of Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Will County,
Illinois Burn Camp Foundation, The March of Dimes, St. Baldrick's, and
numerous others.
